This series offers a basic understanding of both play therapy and clinical supervision. Through the featured three video sequence participants discover considerations for organizing and beginning clinical supervision, ethical and legal considerations within supervision, and the theory, modalities, and techniques of clinical and play therapy supervision.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss aspects of the introductory session with the supervisee

  2. Identify key aspects of the Supervision Agreement/Contract

  3. Describe types of supervisee reluctance and resistance, including ways to work with these elements and promote expectations (the frame)

  4. Define ethics within clinical & PT supervision

  5. Identify common ethical dilemmas and develop a method for promoting ethical decision making

  6. Describe the basic models and theories of clinical supervision

  7. Identify modalities and techniques of clinical supervision

Instructions: Earn non-contact continuing education credit by watching the replay, reviewing the readings/research, & completing the post-test based on the series. The post-test is for the entire series (3 videos).
